You certainly know this Puccini's opera: "a young man and a young woman meet, fall in love, are separated by life and then reunited again before the ultimate separation. It takes place in Paris, an eternally Bohemian Paris, as legendary as it is real. Out of this simplicity springs something miraculous: an irrepressible and ever-new emotion."
Montmartre is one of the most, if not the most, picturesque quarters of Paris. Culmintaing at 130 meters high, you will get an amazing natural view of Paris. Why the name of 'Montmartre'? According to the first christian stories, Denis the Saint, first bishop of Paris was decapitated there and the place was blessed as 'the mount of the martyrs'.
We will discover these surroundings, more famous now as the painter's place, with the Tertre or the Sacré-Coeur, its vineyards and its famous inhabitants as Braque, Picasso, Renoir, Modigliani, etc.
